Perfect Locations for Winter Holidays
Though many vacationers choose to travel during the warmer months, some find themselves drawn to fluffy white snow and a crisp winter wind. For those that prefer to take their trips in winter, there are an incredible number of amazing resorts and hotels that cater to snow bunnies. The Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada, features astounding Alpine skiing. Those same slopes will be used in the 2010 Winter Olympics, so vacationers know that even the professionals enjoy Whistler Blackcomb. In Greatland Street Sterling, Alaska, outdoor adventurers will get a taste of spectacular fishing and other deep sea explorations. They will also enjoy luxury accommodations in rustically-styled cabins that include all the modern amenities. And, what better place to spend a winter holiday than in New York? Visitors can ice skate and admire the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, take in the holiday displays in shopfront windows, and watch the New York City Ballet perform the classic The Nutcracker. At NYCVP, guests are free to choose from a selection of 4 and 5-star hotel accommodations as well as incredible tours and activities.

Not only is Whistler Blackcomb gorgeous in the winter, it is amazingly affordable as well. Tourists can book reservations for only $85 per night. That $85 includes much more than just cozy, modern accommodations. Guests will receive lift tickets for the entirety of their stay, as well as PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola tickets beginning in the winter of 2008. The gondola provides larger enclosed transportation to and from the slopes. This way, the entire family will be able to ride together. Whistler provides skiing school for all ages, snowboarding lessons, and a fantastic tube park for those having trouble staying upright in the snow. Guest can be transported back in time with a horse drawn carriage ride through the snow. Helicopter tours are also available. For the adventurer, zip line activities and dog sledding are offered.

If sliding down the slopes does not sound appealing, vacationers can take a winter break at the Kenai Magic Lodge in Greatland Street Sterling, Alaska. At the Kenai Magic Lodge, guests receive their own private cabin fully equipped with all modern conveniences. If visitors do not just want to relax in the peaceful surroundings, they can take a number of sightseeing tours as well as several different fishing trips. Small planes take guests on incredible tours of the region. Whale watching daytrips are also available. If a vacationer is dying to catch some fantastic Alaskan fish, the Kenai Magic Lodge provides incredible saltwater fishing expeditions too. For the true adventurer, the Kenai Magic Lodge will accommodate guests with bear viewing excursions.

There is nothing like winter in New York City. At NYCVP, they will set up guests with luxury accommodations from an incredible selection of top-quality hotels. For easy access to all of what NYC has to offer, the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan. When a tourist purchases a package from NYCVP, he’ll be provided with free admission to the Empire State Building and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, discounts on shopping at a number of world-renowned stores, and a ticket to see the CBS Early Show live. After standing in the plaza and possibly meeting CBS’s weatherman, guests will be provided with a free copy of the show as well as a tour of the studio. Not only that, guests will get discounts on many parking garages and lots all over NYC.

Whether a vacationer is interested in skiing, sight seeing, or shopping, these winter vacation selections will surely hit the mark. Feel like a gold medal Olympian in Whistler Blackcomb. Return to nature in all its panoramic glory at the Kenai Magic Lodge. Get the taste of what it means to be a New Yorker by experiencing some of the world’s most popular sights in the city during winter. Anyone can take a vacation and sit on a beach but only those who are truly adventurous travelers will find that the winter months hold just as much fun.

I wish I could escape the heat we currently experience here for a trip somewhere cool.
Those pics remind me of some lovely fishing lakes in the Canadian.
