Best Ski Resorts in North America
Skiing has long been one of the most popular couples and family activities in North America. There are many great ranges on the continent that provide for some of the world’s best skiing. In addition to great slopes and snow, many of these ski destinations include resorts and hotels that offer world class accommodations. Finding that perfect combination of great skiing and luxurious accommodations will make for the best possible ski holiday. These resorts are all world famous, and play host to some popular choices for accommodations in addition to their skiing and snowboarding.

Whistler: Whistler is, without a doubt, the largest and most famous ski resort on the continent. This massive dual mountain resort includes over 200 ski runs for visitors. This ensures that there is more than enough variety and challenging options to satisfy skiers of all levels. Whistler will become one of the busiest places in North America in 2010 when Vancouver plays host to the winter Olympics. Whistler will be the site of the alpine events during the Olympics. For those who want to stay no where but the finest, the Fairmont Chateau Resort Whistler is your best bet. There are both guest rooms and suites available in this luxury hotel.

Vail: Vail is one of the two world famous ski resorts located in Colorado; the other, of course, being Aspen. Vail and Aspen are both high class, luxury destinations that offer fine dining and excellent hotel accommodations. Many vacationers, however, prefer Vail due to the fact that Aspen has become a well known celebrity hangout and is often littered with paparazzi. If you’re more interested in skiing and enjoying your holiday than a celebrity sighting, then avoid the madness at Aspen and head to Vail instead. Best resort choices include the Arrabelle at Vail Square and the Vail Plaza Hotel and Club.

Jackson Hole: This destination in Wyoming has been growing steadily more popular over the last several years and is well known for having some of the best skiing around. If the skiing is more important than lounging around to you, then Jackson Hole may be your best bet, simply because you will be hard pressed to find better snow conditions anywhere else. This mountain resort also features all kinds of winter activities, including dog sledding, tobogganing, tubing, and all the other winter activities that are currently popular. This is a true ski resort and you will really feel like you have gotten away from it all; however, there is still a sense of luxury available as more and more Vail and Aspen style resorts, hotels and restaurants are constantly opening in and around Jackson Hole.
